I need a new flash.
I bought a neweer LED ring flash a while back, but at my desk I've only used it with the charger, so I hadn't put batteries in it yet. I almost couldn't get the battery compartment open.
If I use the Yongnuo 600 as the master, since it has TTL, can I use 568's as remote slaves for fill lights without messing up the light metering?
I use a number of YN460 flashes. They are totally manual flashes (no TTL, etc.) but they are workhorses! You adjust flash output on the back of the flash. If you order them, be sure the examine the photo of the flash and buy ones with the batteries in a straight line (recycle time on full power is about 5 seconds as opposed to about 15 seconds with the batteries at a 2x2 configuration).
I absolutely love my new Yonguo YN685. iTTL, radio built in (for use with their transmitter) and will act as a transmitter. Only down side is their documentation.
The newer Vivitar's work well on my D800 and have TTL capabilities.
Thank you ALL!!!!
Now I need some time to Review & Research, Brands Vs Features Vs Price.
We should have done this the first time!!!! (hind site is always 20-20)
To me the TTL would be the best feature for "my playing" with photography. I still have a hard time remembering D.O.F. theory.
Along with CRS (can't remember sh....tf)

A bower model SFD926c was given to me as a gift from Mom, which she purchased from QVC and only had a 30 day return.
that was back in Feb.
https://www.amazon.com/Bower-SFD926C-Autofocus-Dedicated-Digital/dp/B001O81HYKWas using the flash and it "Just stopped" a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was the Battery's. changed them out (2 separate sets). The red ready light goes on but no flash. Tried all kind of settings, no luck... dead.
So, looking for recommendations. Something with the same kind of Spec's and features. TTL, Hot-shoe & remote. Auto zoom, and a few others compared to or better than the Bower.
Did a quick check on E-bay, was kinda liking a Yongnoe (no specific model) flash and the price was really under $100 which is my max budget.
And don't have a lot of money. br br A bower mod... (

I have several Yongnuo products they are good for the money.
For the price you won't go wrong with the Yongnuo Yn685. I have 2 and they have not failed me yet.
My Yongnuo 600 came yesterday, I agree with the comments that the manual is terrible, many translation issues and rather minimal coverage of all the options. It could take me months to figure out how to change all the settings and what they all do.

Probably a silly question but have you tried YouTube? There is a lot of instructions there for the Yongnuo 600 flash
