And lens caps cost how much at Walmart? Perhaps you can try it in the store if the cost is a major concern.

Unfortunately, any cost is a concern.

Sorry to hear that. It seems to be the state of so much of contemporary America for far too many people. Good luck!

Here's a thought.....the auto industry uses all kinds & sizes of plastic caps. Got a friend in an auto shop? See him/her.

If you have a Best Buy that is where I'd go and try it right there I seem to remember that 49mm is the correct cap but not sure on that, try measuring the lens ?

I always intended to get a filter adapter for that camera. But I'm not as satisfied with the camera as most, so didn't bother.

Unfortunately the only mechanics I know are shade tree ones (they work on my cars and trucks). I'll ask them.

Or be creative - a suitably sized jar lid and a strong elastic band - just wash it first!

I may have to do that. Bought a 52 cap at Best Buy today and it's too big. Grrrrr. May have to use a sock for protection!

I think I have one of those. But if a 52 is too big, how can a 58 fit?????

I think when you put on the filter adapter, it makes for a larger filter.
