All the post about owner ship and bogus registration he has not answered the number one reason a person wants to see the serial number.
The question was ask and not answered "Is this a US model and do you still have it?"

Right off, I am not interested in buying this camera, however, if I were in the market for a Nikon D500, I would not touch this one, nor would I recommend it to anyone, due to the serial number having been blacked out. I have bought and sold numerous items on UHH, and have never run across a blacked out serial number.
Also, generally the only place you find "turds", and those who use that term, in UHH is in the attic! 😃

Well, you learn something every day on UHH: I was not aware the znikons were made in Thailand. I thought they were made in Japan. Now I know.
Also, cjkorb, given your buying habits I have great deal on some ocean-front property just outside Wickenburg, AZ. I don't have the title, but that shouldn't bother you PM me for the price.

One other question (Inquiring Minds Want to Know!). I noticed you use an image of cigar bands in your personal account. Has this camera been subject to cigar smoke?

For those who have pm'd me with questions, I have responded honestly which is my only way. I would in no way consider selling out my honor for a bogus deal of any nature. I too have used this websites' buy/sell/trade section for all but the trade aspect. You will find no postings claiming negative actions on my part.
Those members who bring negativity into a thread are pathetic. There is no honor in your behavior. It is a buy/sell/trade section, NOT A COMMENTS AND DISCUSSION section.
I will state again, THE LABEL ON THE BODY HAS NOT BEEN MARKERED OVER. The blackout was done to the image with a clone brush in pp software and I explained my reasoning for doing such. This equipment has been in a smoke free home. What is a perfectly good camera body and accompanying accessories at a fair price has now been labeled worthless by DavidPhares. If you had read the original posting David, I stated up front that the body is a U.S. model. If the turd fits David.............

Actually the Buy/Sell section of UHH is a perfect place for comments. Those who are new to photography expect those more experienced to share their observations on equipment offered for sale in here. It is what separates us from eBay and Craig's. Both of my questions had a factual basis, and were valid:
(1) The marked out serial number. That number is one of the ways members can check with Nikon and local police to ensure the unit has not been stolen. I have never seen a serial number blacked out, ever, on UHH. That alone raises flags. Regardless if your rationale. It is strange.
(2) The cigars in your personal info gives rise to valid questions as to if the camera has been subject to a smoke environment. Another valid question.
And of course your use of language; that speaks for itself. It has long been my opinion when those short on their command of English become frustrated with others they resort to baser terminology, just like you have done. Your language tells much about you as a person. And, you call me "small."
One other issue, I never labeled your camera as "worthless," I simply said that if I we're looking for this model, I would not consider yours! Big difference.
Good luck selling your camera. Just don't be angry with those who are skeptical, that's all!
