I moved from Canon (film and dSLR) to Pentax 6 years ago with no regret...

This site is great - but dominated by Canikon gearheads.
Appreciate the thoughts in this thread.
My primary camera is the K5Sii. My walkabout lens in travel (we try to spend 2-3 weeks overseas every year) is the (compact and weather-resistant, like the camera) 18-135 zoom mentioned above. I have also judiciously picked up select primes over the years, some used, a few new.
Having said that:
It's the photographer, not the gear...
I you decide on the FZ200, please get in touch with me by PM.

I do not know which one to buy... any advice ?
I have very good experience with Panasonic Lumix line but would like to explore may be DSLR for even better quality of pics ..
I have owned a Pentax K-50 and loved it. The only issue I had with it is the noise of the shutter when taking photos. Having said that, I would compare prices of the K-50 with the newer K-70 and, if possible, buy the K-70 because of significant improvements and a quieter shutter. I would also recommend getting a 50mm 1.8 prime lens for portraits, etc. for just over $100.
I have the Pentax K-50, mainly because I have several Pentax mount lenses. (The Pentax K-X that I had died.) My purse camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-Zs60. I like both.
