I have a student that has a D7100. I am not a Nikon user so I am having trouble figuring out if her camera has a panoramic shot setting? All my Sony and Canon cameras have a Panoramic shot setting. Does the D7100 have that setting and if so, how do I put it in that mode? Unfortunately she lost the instruction manual for her camera. Thanks
So you're instructing someone on photography and you have to use the canned newbie features on your camera? That's just sad. My d500 doesn't even have Auto.

Thanks all. Just one more reason I'm not a Nikon fan.
Well I am but I can certainly understand why you're not.

In case you haven't noticed...90% of the time any modern camera will take a decent photo on P or Auto setting. Just like your Microwave oven works just fine on its auto settings like reheat, potato, popcorn. I start there and then move to A, S, M, etc. +/- EVA ISO WB. Baby steps my friend, baby steps. One thing at a time. Rome was not built in one day. The last thing a person wants is to be on their once in a lifetime vacation, standing in front of Yosemite Falls in all its glory and blow the photo because the student left the camera on M or -5 EVA ISO 50,000. I tell them that: When in doubt ...let the camera do the work on full auto, check the image and then play with the settings. Happy Shooting.
I the last time I used auto modes I was shooting a landscape but I forgot I had it set to pet mode. The landscape still turned out good, but not great. If you blurred your eyes it looked like a puppy dog.
