I have watched many of them, but my all time favorite was Bally Kiss Angel and we saw it on BBC America. Sure wish that it could rerun.
It's not on PBS, but the Monk re-runs are hilarious. Tony Shaloub really is a funny guy.

Just started with FB older series on Netflix. Watched one episode. Not sure if it will be my cup of tea for the rest. Two of our faves were "Happy Valley" and "Shetland"from across the pond.
Older series? My Netflix shows only the current - Mark Williams - series.
We watch a lot of the British and Australian shows. They seem to replace characters often, maybe every couple of years. They just ended the Inspector Morse series this week (in the USA) with the death of Inspector Morse, who died of a heart attack. In Death in Paradise, the first Inspector was at a reunion, and he turned out to be the victim of murder. The second Inspector (USA Broadcast) just last week decided to go back to London. So now we are on a third. Although I watch Father Brown regularly, I have not seen the new season where Lady Felecia and Sid have moved on. I would also tell you that for some of them, Wikipedia has a year by year/season by season table of the main characters, to show when they rotate off. Since we in the USA are behind the British broadcasts, the Wikipedia articles will give you a heads up on those changes. JimR
There was a series many years ago called Danger: UXB. I wish I couldfindit again.

In a later episode of series 5 (ep 11-The Sins of Others) he returns. Won't say any more because I don't want to be a spoiler. My wife is a fan, so I ordered series 5 from Amazon UK. You have to have a DVD player that can play region 2 DVDs.
I hope you watched Morse, Endeavour, Lewis, and Foyle's w
I hope you also watched Morse, Endeavour, Lewis, and Foyle's War.

I just started watching Shetland - excellent!
Take a look at these: Death in Paradise, Luther, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - the last two from Australia.

Oh, I do watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Dr Blake Mysteries. Also excellent! I also love the British comedies--they are so quirky!

I remember that. Great series. I had assumed that all the defusers would be killed by the end of the series. I was wrong. When we were in England in 1974, we saw a "Danger! Unexploded Bomb" sign near the coast.
I can never get enough of Benny Hill or the Carry On movies.

I almost forgot about "Last of the Summer Wine" It was a delightful program for us "old timers" I think it ran for around 20 years or more. Our PBS just finished a long run of the series. 2 programs a day, 5 days a week. I only caught on to it about half way through the series. I wish I could have seen them all. I really enjoyed the English countryside, the old buildings, and the sense of humor.

I remember hearing that title, but watching twenty years of a series is more than I would care to do.
My favorite series are "Yes, Minister," and "Yes, Prime Minister." They are unbeatable for British humor.
House of Cards and the following two series were originally British series. That's where I caught it. The death of the journalist was quite a shock.
