It appears to be a custom Harley Davidson. The engine is a Harley or a llok a like such as S@S. The body work is definitely been stretched and a custom seat. But basically it is a Harley Davidson Full Dress bike.

There is more bike in Bicycle, people that call a Motorcycle a bike are to lazy to call it what it is so they call it a bike, you want to ride a bike take the damn motor off and pedal the damn thing. I had a co-worker that road motorcycles and one day he stood at our lineup, an said that he and some of his co-riders were raising money for a childrens fund, when I asked him what they were doing to raise money, he stated that they were doing a 50 mille group ride, so I asked him what else were they doing. He looked upset at me at this point, so I told him look I will sponsor you, if for every 10 miles you ride you push your motorcycle 150 feet, I said you ride with this group every weekend try earning my money, with that he walked away.
The point I was trying to put across is that if he wanted me to sponsor him I would, but he would have to earn it.
During the years that I have been an avid cyclist I have taken part in severial fund raising rides each year, most of the rides were 50 and 62 miles, the 62 mile rides were called a Metric Century.

This is not a Bike, I repeat, this is not a bike, it's a motorcycle. Why would I say this, because I am a true biker, a true biker does not have a motor on his bike. A motorcycle Has a motor and no pedals, a bike has pedals and no motor. There is no bike in motorcycle so why do they call them self bikers. Just saying from some who has taken part in bike rides in five states and 100 mile rides in Maryland and Virginia.

Touchy, just your opinion, BFD.

Well I've been riding motor bikes, or as they are also known, motorcycles, since I was 15 and that was quite some time ago. There's no bike in bicycle but there is in motor bike. Interesting how both contain cycle, bicycle and motorcycle. Interesting how just about everyone I know who rides a motorcycle calls them a bike. Just saying from someone who has ridden a motor bike/motorcycle in at least 42 of the 50 United States and has ridden from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific Coast and back. My longest one day ride was from Tennessee to Pennsylvania, a distance of just under 900 miles.
Oh, by the way, there are motor bikes that indeed do have pedals; usually have 49cc two stroke engine, and you have to use the pedals to get it going.

A Whizzer motor bike for example.

I hate to be disagreeable, But motorcycles are Bikes if they have two wheels and Trikes if they have three. Motorcycles are a direct evolution of the bicycle. (so are mopeds). Bicyclists and Motorcyclists are both "bikers" or "bike riders". OTOH, a person operating a three wheeler is NOT a biker. He/She is a Triker. With or without a motor.

I ride BOTH pedal powered bikes and a motorbikes. Therefore, I'm a "biker", But since that word has a certain social connotation, I prefer "rider" in either case.

Perhaps he should look up "Motocycle Canonball Endurance Race". http://motorcyclecannonball.com/ This is a coast to coast race held every other year, the 2016 race required the bike need be 2016 or earlier and guess what they all had peddles. The 2018 race will have 1929 bikes or earlier. May be you will school these riders in the proper name of their scoot.
Have fun and keep the shiney side up.

Long before bicycles became popular as they are today, motorcyclists' were called bikers by the rest of the world. It stuck. get over it. We enjoy the wind just as you do. Not everyone is physically fit to ride on those small seats with body fitting underwear...

There was a huge bicycle craze in the 1890's and bicyclists were typically called "wheelmen." Motorcycles were invented only at the end of the 1890's and people who rode them were, I believe, called "motorcyclists."

Motorcycles and bicycles are still linked by a common heritage, As motorcycles were originally adaptations of bicycles. "Bike" is a valid term for any (motorized or not) vehicle with two wheels in tandem, and "biker" is a valid term for the operator of such a vehicle., For that matter calling a both the motorcyclist and the bicyclist "cyclist" is equally valid.

Early automobile enthusiasts were called "automobilists",But now are called "motorists" while an argument could be made that motorcyclists, automobilists, flyers and power boat operators are all properly "motorists".

Trivia note: The League of American Wheelmen only became The League of American Bicyclists in the 1990s!!. Also, in The 19th century calling a whole bicycle a "wheel" was as common as calling a motorcycle a "bike" today.

I guess that made you feel like you really put him in his place. How dare he ask for sponsorship for a charity fundraiser for a measly 50 mile ride. A man of principles; put more emphasis on the fund raiser than on the charity.

Of the dozen or so fund raiser rides I've participated in, there's always been a driver and passenger fee, usually $25 for the driver and $15 for the passenger. I've never participated in a motorcycle ride where the riders had sponsors. Rides are usually a fixed length event where sponsored events are usually not. The greater the distance the participants accrue the greater the pledged amount collected from the sponsors.

As an avid cyclist it's not often that I get to have some fun with people on motorcycles.
