...my Northern Yellow-Shafted Flicker is due about every three months! He doesn't show up often but I surely enjoy his visits! He really loves that "homemade" suet!

He's a beauty, Bob!! It's great that you know his schedule so you can make up a fresh batch of your homemade suet that he loves so well!!
Fantastic captures and I'm glad you were home and armed when he decided to give you a visit!!
The Alabama state bird that I hardly ever see in our yard and never on my feeder! Some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen of this bird, Bob!
Looks a lot better than an IRS agent, too! Nice work, Bob!

Beautiful shots of a beautiful bird ! Very nice set, Bob !
Very nice shots of a great looking bird.
He's a beauty, Bob. I love how you've captured all of the great details and colors of the bird by the various angles of your shots.
He seem to be enjoying your homemade suet, and I'm sure that's why he keeps coming back time after time.
Awesome shots!

Angela, I'm almost always at home and I keep my camera mounted on a tripod in the kitchen. Like the IRS agent he comes absolutely unannounced and I am as thrilled as a little kid when comes by! The homemade suet is from the original recipe provided by Donna and souped up with the diced dried cranberries that you suggested. Even my seed eating Robin loves the suet!
Have a nice weekend!

You are more than kind, Donna! I wasn't aware that the Flicker was your state bird! Hope your period of violent weather is over and that you are enjoying a nice weekend!

Thanks, Randy! That ugly old Barn Owl that lives in a hollow tree across the road is better looking than the IRS man! Thanks for visiting!
