I wish every one would please show page number and a name or a clue so the rest of us will know what your referring to and be able to see it. Heck, I can't even remember where I posted with out a pg.number if I receive a comment I want to go back and see what is being commented on. Please

The zoo photos are wonderful Cat .. such beautiful animals .. pg 1

thanks photogrl, not depth of field huh just close ups?

Shallow depth of field hun ... meaning focus on the close up with nothing but blur in the background .. so if you stand back a bit and zoom in on the subject .. it will blur everything else in the background.

they all sat very nice and still for me never even blinked and eyelash, of course they were stuffed lol, sorry for weird sense of humor on the first one and the last one, but there really is big fish there, I was at Bass Pro Shop trying to practice, are these any better, if so don't know what the heck I did lol

Welcome to Day 169:) Today we are going to be taking a look at Shallow Depth of Field. Shallow depth of field for anybody that doesn't understand ... simply means one part of the photo will be in focus and the rest will be blurry. There are several ways to accomplish this .. you can get the subject as close to the camera as possible...or you can make sure the subject is pretty far away from anything in the background.. or you can use a large aperture (smaller f/stop number) .. or you can use a longer focal length. Either of these will result in a shallow depth of field.
Here are a few examples to get us started .. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Y'all have to forgive me this is one of my favorite subjects so I have too many examples LOL
Welcome to Day 169:) Today we are going to be taki... (show quote)

Never too many examples!
