Thank you Donna. I love the bigger birds - Herons and Egrets. They are so graceful and such lethal predators too.

Carol, #2 is absolutely breathtaking! You did a wonderful job with clarity and exposure. The partial framing with the rich greens is gorgeous, as is the bird's pose. This one is really, really special.

Thank you so much Linda. That was the first shot I took when we got there. It got me off to a good start. I'm getting better at using compensation on the white birds and it makes a big difference. I am so pleased that you like it!

Thank you for the nice comment. I agree that they are special birds. These were shot with the AF-S Nikkor 70-300 VR lens. I have always had good results with this lens. It does a good job and is not overly heavy.
