I have been a long-time Olympus shooter, started out with a D-600 early on as my first digital camera. Having gone through a host of intermediate Olys, I still have an E3 in my h/w inventory, and shoot it often - still a nice piece. When the new Oly E1MkII mirrorless hit the market, I started with the early symptons of GAS, and today, I cured the attack. I visited my local camera store and just picked up the little beauty, along with the 75-300 tele, to go along with my stable of other Oly lens. Have to use an adapter to shoot the older lens, but will see how this goes before I spend a ton on the newer speific lens. Early impression: Olymus did a marvelous job on this litle shooter. I don't have anything to post just yet, still have to master the little booger. Should have something up soon. Stay tuned. Haver

Congratulations, it seems like you will enjoy "the little booger", just don't confuse it with a brussels sprout!
And try to avoid eating too many cabbage related foods!

Southeastern Camera on Atlantic Ave in Raleigh. Fairly large store with tons of stuff to droll over.

Very droll!
It's enough to make some of us drool!
Seriously, having a good store within reach is a wonderful thing, and if we have them we should support them. I feel very lucky to have several here in San Francisco.
Have a great day!

But, we're all having some fun I hope! Also, do tell how the new Oly is. They have always made very impressive cameras, I've remembered the original OM-1 with a great deal of fondness, although I never owned one I had friends who did. Take care.

Still trying to master the workings of this little jewel. No real user guide, had to d/l from the web in PDF, 190+ pages. Will give an impression in couple wks.

Impressive so far. Wish Oly would develop a FF unit along the lines of this one.
