My white balance is set to automatic. I since have opened the pictures in the Canon software and they are fine. No magenta color at all.

So no worries, software compliance/setting issues.

Your camera works as intended. Yeah!

The discussion is based upon RAW images, according to the title.

Yes, I do open my RAW filles in Elements. The files are opened using camera RAW. However, I cannot see anyway to see what version that i am using.

Somehow between opening it and saving a version that you can post here, a color is added. Can you list the steps you are taking?

It should say so in the upper left border of the camera raw window next to the file name. Are they red when you open them in camera raw?

So here are the steps that I take when I download a picture. First I view the photo in Picasa. Sometimes I will crop the picture in Picasa and send it to its own folder in PSE. When I opened all of my RAW pictures in Picasa I noticed that they were red in color. Look at the photos that I posted here.

I assumed they were red in PSE as well. Not the case. My RAW photos in PSE look normal and can be managed in a normal way. So, I have come to the conclusion that the problem is with Picasa. The attached photo was shot in RAW and tweaked in PSE.

At least you can open them and get the right coloring. Obviously, it's a software issue. How about getting Adobe Camera Raw?

So it looks like the mystery is solved. PSE works, but Picasa doesn't.

If you have both PSE 13 and 15 why do you even bother with Picasa? Picasa is a low end user friendly program with a limited feature set intended for people not interested in spending the time or effort to learn feature rich post processing software. If PP is important to you, dump it.

Check the white balance setting on your camera.

The last two times that I have shot in raw and JPEC, my RAW pictures have downloaded with a magenta color on them. The JPECs are fine. Can anyone tell me why this is occurring?

I am using an Ultra PLUS 16gb SanDisk memory card. The camera that I am using is a Canon 7D MKII.

Any help on why this is occurring is greatly appreciated.

Why do you crop in Picassa then move to use? PSE will crop photos.

The problem was resolved earlier in the thread. It was Picasa's inability to view 7D2 raw files properly. Both versions of PSE worked fine. It's a non issue.

I'm using elements 14 and raw pix are fine. I agree that the program itself is the culprit. I hope I never see what you're getting. Good luck.
