This photo was a mess of wires. But just for fun and practice thought I would see if I could clean it up. P.T. Barnum dressed for the holidays.
You can still lightly see some of the wires. Underground utilities would be nice.

Yes, those utility wires do detract from a photo. It's strange how some things you remove leave ghosts behind. There must be a cure for that.
Was you cloning in photoshop? It's a lot of work, but looks much better
I'm brand new at this. I used a free software called Faststone. It's ok for now I guess.
i figure you can still do this, as I used Photoshop when it first came out for many years (I actually started with the first release)... You can zoom in and individually color each pixel to eliminate that. However, there are a multitude of tools (rubber stamp, etc...) that don't require that much work.

Copy that. Keep playing and learning, looking good so far. If you were in Photoshop there is a few other ways to quickly clean much of your photo.
Pretty good job, IMHO, Bob.
👍. Nice. I admire your patience.
With cloning you can go back over the lines over and over until the lines are completely gone. Don't have to stop at the first clone attempt.
I like what you did with this one....nice job.
I also like the patch tool which completely removes objects.

Good point, often a combination of patch tool and clone produces excellent results. No limit to the amount of times you can go over a problem area

I think of all the pictures that I didn't take because of utility lines and the work involved in removing them. I guess I'm lazy to an extent. But, my hat is off to you for a cool shot and the work involved.
I clone utilities all the time. Lots of work but I think it's worth the effort. Good job on your photo.
