I did shoot some photos of bugs that turned out pretty good.

p6. You've produced some marvelous works this year, jimber. I am still doing the happy dance for your success at the fair. Your "velvet water" and macros have really been fantastic.

Here's a few I will add to this collection. Happy New Year to Y'all.....

p6 So glad you joined in. Like the simplicity and like the use of color in the image with the purple flowers and water.

Yes, I'm familiar with the spot healer in Light Room. Yes, it's not as accurate as I would like.

p6. Glad to know I am not the only one who thinks that.

Here's my one offering for the year in review. It's a '55 Chevy, taken on the streets of downtown Santiago de Cuba, on Cuba's southern coast. (Castro's remains were buried in Santiago.) I was there on a mission trip in June. This is the norm you would see in Cuba, cars of this vintage.

p6. What memories - my husband had a 55 Blue chevy bel air he restored years ago. Sold it a number of years ago for something else.

It been fun watching the progression of many of the photographers on this challenge site. I have been amazed how much how people have developed their skills and shared with others how to do what they have learned. Makes me wish I had more time to devote to photography. Maybe one of these days. Pat and Sharon, your photographers eye and imagination is a wonder to behold. Thanks for doing what you do. Your Friend Rufe.

p7. Thanks, Rufe. That is really special. It is always so terrific when you're able to join in. Inspiration for sure!

pg 1 - What a great set. I am going to try and improve my editing skills this year - again using the programmes I already have! I'd also like to try and do more 'artistic' shots......
I did the Emma Davis free online course though I did not manage to do every week, but that certainly helped a lot.
AM attaching a shot of my first view of New York skyline - Simon took us for a flying visit. Sadly weather was horrible but we did see some of the memorable sights; World Trade Centre memorial being the most moving.....

p7 So good to see you on this part of the pond. Stunning composition in this shot, Suejay - a reminder that Liberty comes with a price! At least that is what it says to me.

I am really enjoying all your posts. These would be some of my favorite "Arty" or abstract ones - something I would not have thought about with posts from folks like "creativ simon" (miss him!) and "William" (who can turn ordinary into supernatural.) The last one I nearly forgot - purposeful out of focus lights on a skyline 3 shots, 3 layers.

I photograph mainly children. They are so darn cute it is hard to pick a favorite. Here are a few from one of my favorite set designs. The making of an "Apple Pie". I am working on my Masters Degree, slow but sure, so you comments and critiques are welcomed.
