Like others I have over a thousand but these are the most recent. Enjoy catching birds when I have a chance!~

It's that time again--our annual 'Post Your Best' thread.. Christmas is over, the year is fast drawing to a close, and if you're like me, you took a lot of photos. Pick the one you like best from your work over this past year to share with us. Doesn't need to be an award winner, doesn't matter if you've posted it before. It can be any genre, it can be heavily processed, no post work, or anything in between. But let us see what moved you most from 2016, and thanks for contributing!

I'll start with a shot of my favorite Dark Lady, Madame P.

[quote=Scouser] I caught this image on the bench top.

What image would that be?

Lot of excellent work in this thread. This is definitely not my best quality shot, all things considered, but it is perhaps the most satisfying shot overall, small, fast bird, slow camera, slower operator with the near blinding speed and reflexes of your average 80 year old, with a couple of other other satisfying shots thrown in...

I had some fun doing sunsets on my Thanksgiving vacation in Florida.

This is one of my favorite from my summer road trip out west capital reef sunset, I went to this spot 3 nights to capture these images

The last shot is beautiful. Should be a postcard with the colors, and overall feel of the shot.

Gonna have to cheat a little. Just joined up today. Haven't had a camera for nearly 10 years, but I grabbed a couple out of an old back-up directory. Don't know about the quality of the pics but i enjoyed taking them.

Welcome to the club Chauncy. I really like the bird shot. Sharp as a tack, exposure right on.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas, Randy, and I hope the new year to come is very good to you! Beautiful portrait of Loraine! This is one of my favorites from last spring.

Donna, that bluebird is stunning! I imagine you would have a tough time picking a favorite from your collection, they're all so darn good.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Tom. This little bird was a perfect specimen and loved to pose.

Wow! The chickadee, the hummingbird and the great blue heron are awesome! I don't know what equipment or settings you used but I sure hope I can achieve images on par with those one day
