Why is it too bad, Terrymac and jerryc41, that the majority of the world doesn't get it? Because they don't meet your standards of what should be known by everyone? Do you two watch Jeopardy and know all the answers?
That was not the intent of my comment and I think you know that. Walk into any store and there will be a novelty t-shirt that someone doesn't get.
Case in point, I walked into a Walmart once wearing a shirt that said, "5 out of 4 people have a problem with fractions" the cashier read the shirt and said, "I don't get it". I asked her to read it again and she replied, "I still don't get it."
Not everyone will get these things, it doesn't make anyone smarter than anyone else but consider the fact that this woman had to count my change back.
Which half? The "other half"!

It would be more appropriate if it had Edison and Westinghouse. They famously argued publicly about whether electricity should be supplied as DC or AC. Edison argued that DC was totally safe, and that AC would kill many people. Westinghouse argued that AC had much less loss in long-distance wiring, and could easily be changed in voltage using transformers. When the electric chair was proposed as a means of execution, Edison proclaimed that of the process of killing someone with AC electricity it should be called: "They were Westinghoused".

Only problem with that is that I don't ever recall seeing a picture of Westinghouse. I wouldn't recognize him.

The average cashier working at Walmart likely doesn't even know which Presidents are pictured on the most common currencies they continuously handle throughout their day.
Does this mean we now have an LGBTQACDC community we have to remember?! Our newscasts are going to get longer and longer as reporters' tongues and brains get twisted up!
And what about John Lucas.... FC for Faltering Current. Inventor of the three way switch. Flicker, Dim, Off!!!
I remember when I restored UK (brit cars) having to buy "canned smoke" by the case to replace the smoke in the electrical system when you fried the wiring.
I switched to eyetalian -Fiat and Alfa for much more reliability.

Yeah, and when Edison and his cronies finally got the penal system to use AC current in an electric chair to electrocute a condemned man to death, it took about three tries before the man was finally dead. Didn't work out to good for Edison trying to show how dangerous AC current was. Edison was just a complete a**.

I like it, but Steinmetz would have been a better choice than Marconi.
5/4 is a fraction. I buy lumber in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4 ect.
Not only do I not get it, but I don't care. For those who do get it, enjoy.

Rock-N-Roll probably isn't your thing.

Are you suggesting that AC/DC fans are queer?

Sad but true and I'm not talking smack because makes me feel superior, I used to BE a Walmart cashier. In four months they were ready to give me a maroon vest (indicating a four star cashier) because I was personable and I could count change back.
