Zion National Park, Utah's first national park was established November 19, 1919, a nature preserve distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also along the river, partly through deep chasms, is Zion Narrows wading hike. The park covers 229 square miles.

Beautiful series!

Excellent images. Was there in Feb 2015 and I would go back again in a minute......except during the tourist season. Thanks for sharing.

Real beautifully executed shots. I like the way you used the trees and people as a close focus subjects and your leading subject with the creek is very nice composition.

The Emerald Pools are connected by a small stream that fows into the river.

Quite a few years ago (like about 40), my wife, daughter and I spent a week sightseeing southern Utau in early October. Started in St. George, up to Zion, then to Cedar Breaks, on over to Bryce, then down and around to Lake Powell, then down to the north rim of The Grand Canyon, back to St. George, and then home. It was a Great week! Caught the first snows of the season at Bryce and the Grand Canyon. Wonderful time.
