Zion National Park, Utah's first national park was established November 19, 1919, a nature preserve distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also along the river, partly through deep chasms, is Zion Narrows wading hike. The park covers 229 square miles.
The foreground helps give perspective.
We were four of fifty on the bus tour.
The shadows help show depth.
The tree helps add a little contrasting color and depth as well.
Dead center about a third of the way up is a climber to give a little perspective.
The colors of the rocks change as the light changes.
The hills reach for the sky.
The Virgin River as it nears the lower part of the park.
Beautiful pictures of a beautiful area what camera are you using
A good series of dramatic rock formations.
Well taken.
Nice work. Beautiful area
Lovely, the last image is terrific. However to my taste all are over processed with too much sharpening, clarity, saturation, and vibrance added so there is an unnatural appearance to my eye. Just my opinion, others will differ!
I enjoyed the shots .. thnx for sharing ...
I used a Nikon D800 with a 28-300 Lens.

Very nice photos, Dave. Next time choose "Add Attachment" so we can download for better viewing. This would have been especially useful in the frame with the climber!
