Cubs won proving anything is possible if one can wait long enough. Tom Brady has Americas real team anyway. Americas team needs be part of the 13.

Just remember, Jerry Jones has the Final Say in this matter. Jerry loves Tony Romo like a son. Even when Tony was awful, he never threw him under the bus. Even if Dak Prescott wins the Superbowl, he will still have to compete for the starting Quarterback job next season. And if Tony looks good, he will have his job back. Trading Tony Romo? That would get more press than the Tony Dorsett trade a long time ago. And if Jerry wants to keep Dak, he will have to open wider his wallet toward him. And we already know how stubborn Jerry can be on giving pay raises. Except for Tony Romo, of course.

Romo seems too fragil to be in the NFL. Retirement would be a good thing for him.

My wife mentioned the same thing. He seems to have continuous back injuries. Roger Staubach went out on top due to multiple concussions. Today he's made millions as a successful commercial real estate mogul in Dallas. Tony's not doing badly either. He has a beautiful family (two young boys) and just built a 9 million dollar house. He's still part of the leadership of the team....he recently had the team over for a bbq.

One alternative for Tony is to stay on as an asst. coach for the Cowboys specifically to help Dak and any other quarterbacks.

No dough that Tony is a damn good quarterback one of the best out there. Every dog has his day so let wait for Tony to make his move remember it not the tail that wags the dog. It's Jerry.

Yes. Especially if they can win enough games to get to the playoffs. Once that is sealed, and if Tony gets a lot of practice time, and is physically and mentally ready to play, he'll be back this season. Jerry would rather see Tony Romo as a Superbowl winner than Dak Prescott. If Dak is smart, he would accept the 2nd String Quarterback role and wait. His turn will come. Remember Aaron Rodgers was a backup to Brett Favre. Aaron Rodgers waited patiently. Who is Green Bay's starting Quarterback today. Brett Favre won a Superbowl at Green Bay and so did Aaron Rodgers. Each has a Superbowl Ring from the same team.

Yes, and thank goodness Tony came along!! However, as good as Tony has been....he's always had a knack for throwing the inopportune interception late in the game or fumbling the snap that could have won a playoff game. Whatever it's been, it's always been something.....and the Cowboys have lost more than one season due to his injuries. It's like he's had a rain cloud over his head throughout his career.

Every one thought Aikman was so good.....Romo has better stats than Aikman although Tony is getting old and did get hurt a lot and this was while not having a good offensive line and Tony was always running for his life.

Troy Aikman has 3 Superbowl Rings with the Dallas Cowboys. 2nd only to Bradshaw, Montana, and Brady.

There is no comparison, though, to the teams that Aikman had and the teams that Tony has played with. Those four years when the Cowboys were competing with the 49ers to go to the Super Bowl, Dallas had both an awesome running and throwing game due to it's offensive line. This year may be the first year that the Cowboys may come close to those teams.

Aaron Rodgers waited, but not all that patiently. Green Bay 'encouraged' Brett to retire, because Aaron was getting close to the point where he could have become a free agent.

Denver may have that problem in the next year or two, Paxton Lynch, their QB-in-waiting, is probably better than Trevor Siemian long term (and I'm a Northwestern alum), but Trevor had the better summer camp and Lynch clearly has a lot of learning to do. Last night, though, Denver's receivers had a bad case of dropsy and the Denver running game was shut down by the Raiders. But I don't think Lynch would have made a difference had he played.

I am sure you are aware Jerry Jones gave Tony a big fat payday of a contract not too long ago. From the talk I have heard on ESPN, the NFL network and local TV replacing Dak with Tony would not be smart at this time. The key word is "SMART" Jerry Jones has a bundle of money tied up in Tony so expect the unexpected from Mr. Jones.

Yes. Jerry Jones does have a lot of money tied up on Tony Romo. Also a lot love for him. The Dallas Cowboys are a money making organization. Jerry Jones is the only NFL team owner who has a Press Conference after every game. Home and away. He knows how to market a NFL team better than anyone.
