I do not believe that if I own a D800 I will be switching to Fuji anytime soon, not saying Fuji products are not worth consideration. I do not need the tons of megapixels the D800 is capable of but the D800 is a much more versatile camera than any of those made by Fuji.

That's what has kept me with my DSLRs. I could also make that "not as good as with my Nikon." That's based on various compact cameras I have used.

Jerry, this is what I am seeing from sample images posted online. Thanks!

I haven't actually switched but added the XT-1 to my Canon arsenal. I must admit that not only is this a fun camera, it quickly harkened me back to the Canon AE-1 film days. I've added some spectacular Fuji lenses that are stellar performers. So now, I am sitting on an huge Canon collection that I rarely use. My Dilemma is what to keep. Tossing around keeping the 7D II as it has a faster frame rate for my action work. Really not sure why I need my 5Dlll. So, I can recommend the Fuji but as others have said, give it a try first.

I moved from a D800 with number of lens completely to Fuji in April this year. I have a Fuji X-Pro2 and now also the latest X-T2. My primary reason for changing was the weight and size of my Nikon equipment was just getting to be too much for me, especially when I hiked to various places to shoot. I loved my D800. It is a great camera and I do not think Fuji has anything better than that camera. However, I am very happy with the change as the Fuji cameras and lens are both excellent. I feel that I am getting results that equal (in some cases better, in some not quite as good, according to what I am shooting) what I was getting with my Nikon at this point. And the weight pain is basically gone. It does take some getting used to however. If you are not inclined to be patient and learn new camera controls, etc, don't make this change. If you are willing to work through a learning curve and want lighter equipment which is fun to use and produces excellent results, then Fuji could be your ticket.

I played with the XT-1 at the camera store, then bought the XT-2. The XT-2's EVF is significantly brighter -- the reviewers and Fujifilm say it's twice as bright -- and, of course, the sensor went from 18 in the XT-1 to 24 MP, so that's a large step up in resolution. So far, quite happy with the XT-2. I'm someone who used film SLRs for many years but didn't get serious about digital until the last few years, so I really like the old school shutter speed and ISO dials on top of the camera and lenses with F-stop clicks on the barrel.

I switched from the Nikon 7100 to the XT1, same size sensor, but with a different array and processor. Once they corrected some of the focussing issues with software upgrades, I was really happy with it. The kit is so much lighter with an 18-135, 23, and a 56. It's also weather resistant with some lens. I haven't tested the extremes of that, but it's a reassurance. Then I got the XT2 with a 24mp sensor and a vast improvement in focus and other features. It takes wonderful pictures. I bought the 27mm pancake lens and put it on the XT1 body to keep in the car, but the XT2 and all lens are a whole dimension smaller than the larger SLR bodies, so most of the time, I just grab the XT2. Fuji makes it all worthwhile by updating software to either fix issues or respond to customer requests. It's like getting a new model car, without trading up. I want to figure out how to I shoot raw to one card slot and select a specific film simulation (jpeg) to save to slot 2. It's clear how to save to jpeg, but the trick will be to pick a specific film simulation.

It's a great camera, great body, great build, great lens quality. BTW, the new Fuji medium format is no larger than most large, bulky full format SLR.

I've read two articles about the D810 being superseded by the D820. The 36 megapixels D810 full frame camera is still great. Imagine its successor? Possible release in one year. Good things are sometimes worth waiting for. With you owning a D800, see what lies in the near future with Nikon full frames.

I switched from a D7000 to a Fujifilm X-T10. My main reason was the smaller size and weight of the Fujifilm. I also wanted the articulated viewing screen. To put if briefly, I LOVE my Fujifilm. Besides being very happy with the size, weight and the articulated screen I am much happier with the images from the Fujifilm. My pictures seem better focused and better color. Of course the electronic viewfinder is not as good but I now only use that in bright sunlight. After using the Fujifilm for about a year I am now trying to sell my D7000.

Definitely not worth switching from a D800...have you considered keeping your D800 and look for a smaller lighter alternative like the Fujifilm X series cameras?

Switched from Canon 5D MKII to XPro-1, I love it, no regrets at all. It's lighter, easier, and quicker on the most used settings.
Fuji optics are absolutely superb.

This. I use my Fujis (x100s and XT-10) for most things and 7D II for longer range and action situations. Although the silent shutter on the x100s is great for golf photos.

I checked out your website. The photo titled "Pink" shot with your Fuji is beautiful.

I have been reading and hearing nothing but great things about Fujifilm cameras and lenses. Has anyone made the switch from full frame to Fujifilm? Is it worth it? I wish I could see images taken with both types of cameras.

I'm an enthusiast, not a pro. I used a D700 and 3 Nikkor AF-S f1.8.s Sold the lot for Fuji X-Series with similar image quality, smaller size and less weight. Europe probably has many more enthusiasts and pro's who have switched totally to Fuji. I've used the X-E1, but now on the X-T1 for 18 mths and loving it. All the XF lenses are quality lenses. Now saving my pennies for the X-T2, which, if you've got the cash, I'd recommend for you.

You say you wish to see some pics with Fuji - here's 7 different examples, not my own pics, but downloaded from various websites, blogs, fb groups where Fuji users show off their talents in abundance ! Enjoy !
