Most people are in such awe, of the falls, they forget to look around them. If you are at Artists Point taking pictures, be sure to look across the valley at all the sulfur colors coming out of the sides of the hills. If you like, I could show you a picture of what people miss.

Plenty!

The volume of water flowing over Lower Yellowstone Falls can vary from 680 cu ft/s (19 m3/s) in the autumn, to 8,400 cu ft/s (240 m3/s) at peak runoff in late springtime.

thanks for the replies, it was just a general question. I watch the Old Faithful webcam so am familiar with the weather and have the phone number for road closings. The problem is I just got Xray back and the hip problem has increased enough that I may need to push this trip to next May and get a new hip fairly soon, I don't want to chance problems while on a major trip. The last injection helper 0%.
