I have been to Antelope Island many times as a young man. It used to be my favorite place to take a friend and photograph. It looks like you got some pretty nice picture but need to work on your clarity a little more and you will see just how much it will change entrust in the way the picture looks.

Thank you for your comments Sac-Jack. You are right. I normally use clarity, but for some reason I did not on these. I went back into Lightroom and boosted clarity and the images were improved. Again thanks for your reminder....

Now take more pictures from the area around there. I went to the U of U there in SLC and worked at Kennecott at the smelter for 5 years to pay my way through the University of Utah. The is so much old stuff to see and do there. Kamas, Utah was a small town which had only one building all churches used for Sunday services. I have pictures of Park City before the Mafia moved in and took it over for gambling now look what it become. Any way thank again for the great pictures.

My family and a friend made a visit to Antelope Island just north of Salt Lake City, Utah late Saturday afternoon. This was my first visit to the Island, but feel I need to return often....I got up close an personal with some of the critters that live there.

Wow gary...looks like you were quite close to the bison...very nice closeup. Hope there was something between you and him. Looks like a fun place to go shooting!

Yes, you can get quite close to the bisson. I had a car between the two of us, I'm to old to play 'chicken' with this guy. He posed for me by the side of the road and later walked across the road in front of our car like we weren't even there.......We saw a couple dozen bisson, three deer, a half dozen antelope, an owl and a rock we thought was a rabbit. All in all quite a bit for an hour before sunset....

I will return there as soon as I can and spend some more time. I island is quite large and sits in the Great Salt Lake. The lake is very low this year.

from 100 feet away this looked like a large rabbit. Captured with a 200mm lens and cropped down a good bit.....
