Has anyone else noticed this?

A little out of my price range, but not impossible. Kind-of gives you something to save-up for.
Sure would be a nice weight reduction and make a dandy walk-around with that 45mm lens.

There's been a lot of talk about this one. It's a true Hasselblad, not a re-branded sony like the Stellar. With a max frame rate at 2.3 FPS, you won't be shooting BIF though.

SS: Yes, there are two lenses available. 45mm F3.5 & 90mm F3.2 (with a 30mm promised to be released at Photokina)
Hasselblad CEO has also announced zoom lenses will be developed. An optional adaptor will accommodate existing H System Lenses.
But it sure looks like a full line of lenses will be developed to match the high resolution capability of the X1D.
Body MSRP is $8,995 bare body: $11,290 with the 45 MM f/3.5, or $13,985 with both the 45mm f3.5 & the 90 mm f/4.5 lens.

No, I will not buy you one, two, or any. Your so stuck on Canon & SLR it would be a shame to see the two quality bodies collecting dust in original packaging on your kitchen table.

LOL, and I will not be getting a pair myself. I'll wait for a zoom. (RIGHT?) And for that matter, my iPhone still is a pretty reliable Walk-About...

But tell you what: I'm more likely to have a medium format mirrorless Hassleblad in my back seat than pay-off the loan on a Tesla.

And Dylan sings in the back ground: The Times They Are A-Changin...

I just read a review on Luminous Landscape. Quite favorable but there are a few "bugs" yet to be resolved.
I wonder why the interest in mirrorless cameras is as great as it is. The lighter weight is favorable and the controls are somewhat intuitive but I do not see any other advantages at this time.

You should compare the Hasselblad to the new Fuji GF 50 X before you buy. It is also a brand new camera, compact and mirrorless. But it is much cheaper than the Hasselblad and has a better lens selection already.
