First I would like to thank all for their comments and input from the previous post!
It worked out great, GreenToe is in the process of being approved by Adorama to accept payment with PayPal. I used regular debit card!
You can get this deal only through GreenToe, they bargain with different suppliers with the offer you make them.
GreenToe and Adorama made this happen very fast. Adorama filed the order Tuesday, I received the lens Friday, NO shipping cost or taxes.

For those who maybe considering a lens of this size. HOPE THIS MAY HELP.
The auto focus is almost without sound.
The OS is unbelievable when shooting handheld at 600mm
I am attaching 3 images shot as Tiff no PP saved for this as jpeg. These are first images using the lens.
These images are all shot with a +4 EV )I have all shade all day at my home.)

IMAGES: All were hand held (NO PP AT ALL) I shot Manual w/AF w/ISO limit of 500-800. Color choice is Adoba RGB
TOMATOES: 600mm-f/6.3 - 1/160 - ISO 500 +4EV
FLOWERS: 600mm-f/6.3 - 1/500 - ISO 500 +4EV
HUMMER: 600mm-f/6.3 - f/250 - ISO 500 +4EV
2nd (same image) of hummer was PP in photo shop to see just what IQ was after being shot in heavy shadows.
I will say it will take some getting use to,not use to all the switches to check. I believe I got a fantastic lens for what I paid, the lens is beautiful made.
Just to compare I have a Nikon 300mm f/4 and Nikon 500mm f/4. I believe the IQ of the sigma rite out of the box (The camera D810) is very close to those lens.

Soon after ordering I had 2nd thoughts, thinking I should have ordered the Nikon 200-500..... NOW: NO REGRETS!

Great shots. I've been considering this lens and the Nikon 200-500. What camera model are you using it with?

No, from box to camera the os really makes a big difference. I don't believe the dock would make any difference. good luck with any lens purchase.

I use the same combo and I can assure you that once you get accustomed to this lens the images get even sharper.

I can post a few sample images with your permission.

Here yuh go. One from close (about 15') and one from a distance of about 80' if I recall.

I use very, very little sharpening which helps keep noise low enough I generally need no NR. Keep in mind this was my first and second time out with the Sport, or any long lens for that matter. You are going to love this lens.

Fairly heavy crop

Very nice. Would like to see before and after sharpening.

I bought the Contemporary version with the Dock through Greentoe and Adorama. A terrific price and, as usual, excellent service. My initial impression is impressive. I am unable to compare properly to other lenses, especially the Sport, but I am very happy with it. The lenses differ in lens barrel material, optical construction, weight and price. I would have bought the Sport but felt the extra weight was not worth it.

I think one decided advantage to the Sigma is the Dock. It is not a gimmick and anyone willing to invest in this kind of lens should consider the value of the Dock in selecting the brand.

PS The attached was shot with a Canon 80D, manual exposure (1/500, f/8, ISO 640), autofocus (center zone), custom white balance with ExpoDisc, available light, 600 mm, tripod-mounted. Processed in LR with minor cropping (less than 25%), minor color tweaks, no sharpening, no noise reduction. Analytical comments welcome.

Glad your happy. What level do you have the sharpening set to in your camera. You say shot as Tiff, I only have the option on Canons to shoot RAW/JPEG. I can save as a Tiff after PP.
