Is This a Gopher?

I just read where Botta's Pocket Gophers are common in California (which I see all the time here). I know they are considered a pest,, but I think they're so darn cute! Of course, I live in a condo and don't have to worry about taking care of the landscaping! &#128521;

you nailed it here's another photo of a Botta's Pocket Gopher, not as good as the op but it will pass

I think that it escaped from Washington, It's a short haired politician.

HI: The first animal may be a schrew...golfers have fluffy tails. At least in Central Illinois they do. Nice image!

Not sure on the I.D. You might check his wallet, the info ought to be on his Driver's Lcense...

It sure looks like the gophers that ruin my lawn. If I had had the opportunity to take that photo, the next step would have been to dispatch it with a shovel.
