Excellent and enjoyable series. That Dragon Head looks like something out of a monster movie!
Love the Anglehead Lizard. Superb. As already commented, the view of the Dragonhead is fierce-looking.
Looks like you are really enjoying this lens.
Incredible photos as always. Well done.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Richard, Carol, CHG Canon, Allen, Douglass, Wally, Dennis. Much appreciated.
Wally - yes, I like this lens a lot!
A beautiful series again as usual. The two of the Dragon Head Katydid are my favorites. What was the working distance on those shots & did you use an led light for focusing on the night shots?

Thanks, MuddyValley. Really wasn't checking how far the working distances were when taking these pics. All i can tell you is that the lens is extremely close to the subjects, even the little green pit viper I photographed. Close enough that it though it could climb onto my diffuser! That katydid was about 3 inches long.

1:1 mag is a bit tight!

Right! I doubt it's possible to take any 1:1 shot with decent light. How do we light up something that's so close to the lens?
