So very true my friend...when we hear the music, we all must dance...this is a greatly thought out, executed, shot with food for thought. I think people who can set up great still life's, have that something extra in their makeup, that they just get it!...you have it!!!

What is more mortifying than to feel you have missed the plum for wanting of courage to shake the tree?

The simplicity of your lighting Carla is what makes this image so good. Cropping some of the top and removing the little white bit are trivial and don't detract from your basic creative idea.
Treepusher and rlaugh have summed it up properly.

Rich warm color, great light, and a beautiful image, Carla. I'd agree about cutting a tad from the top of this, but it's a beautiful image even the Dutch Masters would be thrilled with! Excellent effort on this one!!!

TP, you just added to my Easter Day! So generous in your thoughts, thank you for taking the time to do that. I thought I'd step back and look again in a few days. But there is a lot of emotion when you create something and its hard to eliminate that. I do think those who thought a bit of crop would enhance this are right. I just had to make several choices and sit back and be objective. :D

Beautiful colors and excellent still life, Carla!!
Wonderful work!
:)

Thank you,Angela! I've found several objects at my Dad's home that have made me think of how I could use them in a composition. My mom loved to collect beautiful "things" and I have found so many treasures! I appreciate your kind comments! :D

As do you, my furry friend! There are those who realize there is music but prefer it to be background sound. Even worse are those who are irritated by the sounds! Its freeing and emotional and, yep, ya gotta dance! It feels so good when you think you've got it the way you wanted!

Thank you so much for your thoughts,Snap. Artistically, it always seems more interesting with 3 objects, but this seemed more simplistic. I tried it with these 2 objects plus a daisy but there was something kind of off. I'll be revoking at it.

Thank you so much, farrokh. I did fail to credit to Logan P. Smith for that quote. I should have. :-)
