Fantastic! Carol, I could view images such as these all day---such a beautiful little river in your location! Image number three should be on your wall--What a fantastic download! Well, our male osprey finally made his appearance on the 5th to stake out his claim on their nest across the creek. Had been keeping an eye out for him for about a week, and was relieved when we finally spotted him! It's quite a distant across the creek but when looking through binoculars noticed what appears to be a fairly large injury on his left side that is visible when his wing is raised. It doesn't seem to affect his mobility, but we could see a large red area, and just hope he will be ok. Take care!

This is actually an area called Hontoon Dead River. It is a loop off the main channel and anything but "dead" as you can see. I'm glad to hear your osprey made it back to the nest area. If he is still mobile and able to hunt I would think there is a good chance he will be ok. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
yes nature sure does, nice pics

So often on the river, I feel the wonder of my surroundings and am disappointed that it is almost impossible to capture this in a photo.
This first 2 shots shows the beauty of fresh green leaves mixed with the gray of still bare limbs. There are pops of red where bright new growth is present and a smattering of cottony Ibis. Actually, there are hundreds of Ibis in the trees with an occasional Egret mixed.
Good work, Carol

Thanks for looking! Juniper Springs should be really nice this time of year and the weather should be warm. Have fun and get some great shots to share.
