So often on the river, I feel the wonder of my surroundings and am disappointed that it is almost impossible to capture this in a photo.
This first 2 shots shows the beauty of fresh green leaves mixed with the gray of still bare limbs. There are pops of red where bright new growth is present and a smattering of cottony Ibis. Actually, there are hundreds of Ibis in the trees with an occasional Egret mixed.

Cottony Ibis populate the trees and also the swamp areas along the river.

Thank you. I really enjoy the river but photography from a boat is challenging!

The feel of the breeze, birds calling, gators grunting - it all adds to the experience but is very hard to define. Thank you for looking and for your comment.

Thank you Angela. It is a special experience. This time of year there are birds everywhere - lots of gators too.

Thank you Paula! I really appreciate your comments. The Ibis are all over the place. Sometimes they will startle and a big cloud of white will go whirling up but they usually settle down quickly. They are very pretty.
