Thank you, Dave! I'm working strictly black and white right now, but will give that a try. The horse is palomino color and the mane is light yellow/off-white, with black.

Linda, both are great! Are you converting color to B&W in the camera of PP or of course you could be using film. B&W still has a warm spot in my heart. I enjoyed these very, very much.

Thank You, Greg

Thank you for your lovely comments, Greg! I shoot color raw and convert with Nik Silver Efex via PS Elements 13. Sometimes I draw from other pp software too, such as Topaz Detail or Nik Color Efex.

I read a tip recently to set the camera to monochrome for the purpose of viewing the composition in b&w on the LCD. That helped a lot the first few days of my easing back into "thinking in black and white" :)

In the For Your Consideration forum we've been exploring b&w with two recent share-yours threads. Hope to have more, and would love to see you!

I'm not usually a fan of black and white but these are beautiful. Did you notice the "eye" in the clouds in the upper left?

That eye in the clouds caught my attention right away. I actually thought for a moment she Photo Shopped it in to see if anyone would notice, but I really don't believe she did. I think it was a one in a million shot. BTW, I like them both, but the second one is my favorite.

I still can't see the eye and most assuredly did not add it :)

Thanks so much for your comments!

Number 2 is OUTSTANDING Linda. Consider removing the barbed wire in LR or PS. Great exture and expression.

Thanks so much, Stan. Very glad you enjoyed! Photographer's choice to leave in the wire: sense of place - spirited horse constrained in a rather harsh way.
