Just saw that B&H announced the new 1D X mark 2. Only 1 thing wrong- I can't afford it.

Nothing you can sell? Car? House? Kid? :-D

I just checked it out. $5,999.00.
I'm going to wait a bit before I place my order. I'm sure they will be knocking $100 or so off the price before too long!

At this point, I want to wait and see if/when the 5D MK IV comes out. I don't see enough on the MK II to make me want to replace my 1Dx. Perhaps as the reviews come out I may change my mind.

The price is a little lower than I expected it to be but still a bit pricey for me.

What feature/s impress you the most?

I keep getting the emails from WEX and Jessops about pre-ordering. Now to fund it - anyone need a kidney? Only 35 years old, well looked after, not abused etc......

Does it allow mounting on a tripod - I didn't see any tripod screw in the pictures.

$6000 or die waiting. I'd spend the bucks.

Speculation on timing is rife. March, October? Availability?

Watch this space!

Yup, it has a tripod mount. It's right there in the pictures that B&H has posted.
