Very cool! Well done!
Thanks John. I've been watching your Korea photos with interest. I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan for 3 years and we used to board a free flight from Yokota to Seoul, Korea for a weekend shopping. I've also visited the ports of Chin Hae and Inchon.

Bob, this is a one time thing as far as I know . However, sometimes a little film forms afterwards and a quick zap of laser (I think) takes care of it. Your doctor will explain, for sure. I needed it done on both eyes and it's not a problem, just breaks up the film and causes a few floaters until they dissolve.

Good luck with it when you take the step.

Great flower pictures. I had my cataracts removed, one eye and a week later the other. Great improvement in colors after the second eye was done. Nice to be able to not have to wear glasses all the time. I was told that after a time cataracts could start to reform. The first took over 70 years, so I am not too worried about it happening. 🙂

Bob, those photos look great! I can say that with corrected eyes! Five years ago I had my left eye de-cateracted and two weeks later had the right one done, too. Each operation took less than ten minutes and in less than 24 hours my world changed from grays and browns to Adobe RGB! The Dr. inserted corrective lenses and now I can see distances with clarity. What a difference!!! I do need glasses to read and see camera settings but it's worth it! Those procedures let me enjoy your work in real colors!!! I view your work with anxiety every day! Keep it up young man!!!

Thanks Ed. I'm glad you liked the flowers. Thanks for the info about the eye surgery too.

Thanks Low Lids. My concern lately is that I might be over-compensating in my colors ..... but if they still look good to someone with "sight" then I'm not too far gone.

Thanks Hal. With a limited range of subjects to choose from I find myself looking to the plant world for a lot of inspiration.

Really enjoy all your PP work. Go for the surgery. Had mine done a few years ago and was amazed of the color in the world I was missing.

Thanks cfrank. I'm somewhat surprised this topic has garnered so many responses about cataract surgery but it seems quite a few folks have personal knowledge of the procedure. I'm grateful for all the information.
