Hello,
I am wondering if you can help my feeble brain. In a discussing a new product was discussed as being the answer awaited by many Aperture devotees. For the life of me I can not recall its name but I believe it starts with the letter F.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Affinity Photo by Serif. You can get it in the App Store.

If your talking about the Apple integrated photo software included with the MAC OS, it's called Photos

Are you looking for a Pixel editor, or a cataloging and editor? You're better off going with Lightroom than any of Apples products.

Cycle speed, if you do not find Affinity to your liking and are somewhat masochistic in learning new skills, may I also offer the free "GIMP" for your consideration. A great (and ultimately inexpensive) program, but "challenging" to learn.

Yes, there was a discussion about a program that was selling for $89, rather than its list price of $455. The name will come to me.

As always the choices will overwhelm us. I bought Capture One when it was being promoted for Sony since it allows live tethering. Unfortunately, it is, shall we say, beyond my capabilities just trying to use it without directions.
I do like how it treats raw files but the webinars are over my head and I'm still looking for a starter manual and non exists that I'm aware of. The software contact person said they would love it if someone would write a manual ( Did you know that Scott Kelby ?)
I wonder how easy MacPhun would be to get started?
Thanks again for all of your replies.
