Swamp Gator: I'm afraid you have a long way to go in bucket photography. With all my photoshop tricks, I still couldn't get that bucket to look good. Stick to the ducks, OK.

I'm giving up on bird and wildlife photography completely and going into bucket photography!

living here on the river I have seen everything you can imagine floating down. styro cups from the fisherman, soda and beer cans and well check out the pic. It gets really bad when the river rises more than normal because the water picks up everything on the banks. How about this?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!!
Try "Portrait Professional" on that bad boy huh?
The local state park established a bring in and bring out rule...they even supplied the trash bags. People stole the bags and left their trash. Indeed hard to believe.
I had a shot ruined last May due to a bug flying by the lens as I snapped the photo. If it wouldn't have happened, it would possibly been one of my best photos.

As I was leaving the area yesterday, out of the corner of my eye, I just caught this group of willets flying across the marsh. I brought up the camera and fired off a couple quick grab shots hoping to catch the flight.
Well I got the flight shot alright, but I also got some big freaking plastic bucket that some idiot lost and is now sitting there in the marsh. :-(
Not that the shot would have been any big deal or anything, but people leaving trash around a natural environment really hacks me off.

Why should they bother to pick up after themselves when their mommy will come along and do it for them? I was in a drug store recently and some guy knocked something off a top shelf. He turned around, looked at it then walked away. So I told him "Don't you worry your pretty little head, I'll get that for you". I think the whole store heard me. He stopped, flipped me the bird, and walked away. Other customers were also adding comments to him.

I see people who have left their trash behind quite often in Yosemite, that is maddening. But when I see a deer trying to chew up a plastic grocery sack, that just pisses me off. There's no way I can get that bag from the deer, he will end up swallowing it, and that's going to cause him a long slow painful death.

Hey, my Yukon is Hybrid. Uphill, it runs on gas. Downhill, it runs on gravity.

I agree. Two good pictures of birds, one bad picture of a bucket.
Nice capture & nice work taking the bucket out Mdeman. Little PS does wonders.
Far too many people think that if they screw something up, someone else will fix it. That goes from making a mess of the enviroment to making a financial mess of their lives. I wish my fellow citizens would be a bit more responsible.
Good shot on the birds, especially since it was a quickie.
