As I was leaving the area yesterday, out of the corner of my eye, I just caught this group of willets flying across the marsh. I brought up the camera and fired off a couple quick grab shots hoping to catch the flight.
Well I got the flight shot alright, but I also got some big freaking plastic bucket that some idiot lost and is now sitting there in the marsh. :-(
Not that the shot would have been any big deal or anything, but people leaving trash around a natural environment really hacks me off.
I agree. It sucks when you go outdoors and find trash all over the place
Hey, but the birds look good!
I can relate.. Thought I had a few more good spoon bill shots this weekend only to have a styrofoam cup in the middle of the photo. Some of the places I visit I almost feel like the explorers, Lewis & Clarke then I run across some trash, kinda blows the feeling. Still nice shot, just needs a Bush now..

great shot Gator but it does suck about the trash, some ppl are just jerks..... :(
Yep!
Me too.
All the PP cloning/healing ability in the world wouldn't make up for the value of simply picking up after one's self!
As bad as it looks in your photo; it's even worse knowing the wildlife is forced to deal with the negative impact of humans and their waste in an ever-changing habitat.
Your shot is amazing regardless, though.
If public can get there they will leave trash, almost a law of mankind.
PS: Great shot of the birds! Well the bucket too I guess LOL
It was a great shot anyway. It is a shame that people leave their trash. I carry a similar bucket to clean up behind people in the areas where I hang out & am appalled to say I have even cleaned up water bottles & snack wrappers behind photograhers (actually saw someone throw a bottle down before moving down for the next shot)! Some people just don't give a flying flip flop!
Why is it so hard for people to clean up after themselves. :(
Nice reflection though. Lol.
LOL I was waiting for someone to do that....

Say it isn't so? I am so programmed to love your shots that I would not have noticed if you hadn't brought it up.
Still love the shot.

You ruined it!!! Well, for me at least. It was making me reminisce about my boyhood in Chicago along the Des Plaines river.
With the bucket out of focus, the shot was already ruined before those inconsiderate birds flew into the shot.
Nice grab shot. As for the bucket, nothing PS can't fix.
