Hi Jean, It was bad enough driving a car along the narrow streets and very slippery on the cobbles, so I'm not sure if I would risk a horse???

Thanks a lot Carlysue, This is not a very tourist area, plus it is September, and France pretty much stops many holiday activities at the end of August, which is why its a good time to visit, its mostly locals who will make welcome you in there own warm way, its as if you become part of the community and not another tourist. You will see future sets that the streets in many villages are really quiet.

What a charming, beautiful, picturesque village,Geoff! Beautiful work on your part. I'm amazed that the streets were empty of people.Seems to be a place to take peaceful walks and fun exploration. Absolutely lovely!

This is a 6 picture set of VEZENOBRES, a small village at the crossroads of the Cevennes and Provence in Southern France, with its vaulted passages, little squares dotted with shops and cafés its one of the most beautiful villages I have seen anywhere.
First a Roman oppidum, then a medieval fortress Vezenobres owes its prosperity to the dried fig and the Regordane Way, the pilgrim and trade route linking Le Puy-en-Velay to St-Gilles du-Gard.

What a nice set Geoff and such a beautiful place

Cheers John, and thanks a lot--Its the first time we've been to that side of the Rhone, apart from the west coast, and I was very pleasantly surprised at its wild and natural beauty,,
