This is a 6 picture set of VEZENOBRES, a small village at the crossroads of the Cevennes and Provence in Southern France, with its vaulted passages, little squares dotted with shops and cafés its one of the most beautiful villages I have seen anywhere.
First a Roman oppidum, then a medieval fortress Vezenobres owes its prosperity to the dried fig and the Regordane Way, the pilgrim and trade route linking Le Puy-en-Velay to St-Gilles du-Gard.

A masterful set, Geoff. Each is breathtakingly beautiful in composition and subject.

What a delightful bonus to see the little terrier on the upper terrace in #4 :)

Only four photos up right now; I'll be back!

Yowswer, Boss. Those are the ones I've been looking for. I missed reviewing the laast couple of days. Guess I better go back. Beauties, Geoff.

Cheers Tp, This part of France is very much off the main tourist path and very rural,--in the weeks I was there I think I only heard about 3 English, 2 Canadian and one American accent, really beautiful,

Geoff

Cheers Linda, and thanks a lot for your kind feedback. I did try to get the little Jack Russell to bark, but he just wagged his tail,
