#2 Appears soft, I like the way the flower "swirls" around!!
#3 Flower is jumping out at me!!! Wow!! Don't think the background adds anything....

Hi tammy
Welcome to the site. White flowers are very hard not to blow out. Your first two need a low exposer. Your framing on these are great. The last one, you got the flower perfect!

#1 Even though they outlawed selective coloring in the 80's (or at least should have), it is good thing to learn for it helps one to understand their post processing software.

#2 Made me go to Dairy Queen. Just got back. So I guessed it evoked some sort of emotion in me.

#3 Beautiful color balance. Too bad about the background though. The white came out so well that if you blackened the background and perhaps enlarged the flower some, you would have something there. I am speaking from experience. After all, I am the King of bad composition. This is why I joined this forum.

Keep posting. Keep learning. Most of all, have Fun!

#1 is awesome for me! Could easily be a calendar page or greeting card.

#2 is great also, focus a little soft but in this case it works for me.

#3 is very good on the flower, but the background is a bit distracting.

Good start, shows you have a good eye so keep practicing and posting your great flowers!!

I love the mood you're going for in the first two - but they're a little too centered for me. Bullseye flower shots remind me of seed packets.

The third photo's background provides context and you've composed it well. This is by far the most interesting shot. Nice work. More of this, not less.

Thank you for ur comments. I do have a couple of pictures of flower #3 with the different grounds . I have the hardest time getting the right exposure. I guess thats why I'm still learning.

I'd like to see a print somewhere between #1 & #2 from the two exposures. The original three pix were very nice - as has been said, you've got a great eye for flowers - keep on shooting - you've got a great future!
