How about we just agree that folks who shoot RAW can submit photos as long as the only processing done is to crop. No other tweaking. Is that fair enough?

Can those who shoot RAW also shoot JPEG? Is moving to JPEG a hard thing to do?

So, maybe the real challenge will be to try and get the photo at point of shot?

It all depends on what camera you are shooting.... Much PP can be done inside the camera, and I guess that's fair to someone using a small P&S that can't do that? I don't think so.

I agree with that... I only shoot RAW, but I'm willing to put it in JPEG and see what I get out of it! Cool contest and who knows what's going to happen...

Well lets put it this way I am not going to be downloading your pics and checking the exif data on them. If it looks natural I am probably not going to be checking to make sure that you haven't post processed. If it turns out like RMM's avatar then I might question things. OK? I just wanted to try and get some more contests going because there haven't been any in awhile and I thought some people here might like to have one again. I didn't specifically set it up to make people mad I am sorry if you feel angry at the rules I have set up.
Well lets put it this way I am not going to be dow... (show quote)

It sounds easy enough, if he checks the data and it shows PP in an editing program, then he will remove your photo. Have Fun

Good Morning fellows. This is Tea8s' contest. Stop all the blathering and either submit the way she said or don't. No comment needed. Sorry, love you all, but knock it off.

I agree with JacLee - Tea8s contest.

I have np problem with the PP, Its number 2 that I do not like. I'm not a fan of wildlife in pens, but for many of us living in the city the zoo or wild life refuges are the only acccessible and affordable placces we can observe wildlife.

Cities don't have birds, squirrels rats (both 4 legged and 2 legged)cockroaches...ect... all wild life. I didn't see a rule stating it could only be exotic out in the wilds of Africa type wildlife! Quit whinning flip a switch to JPEG and go out and let the hunt begin. :-D

So since there was some interest I have started a new Photo Contest for everyone here to participate in I am posting the details below as well as a link to the contest.

Ok, I am setting up a new wildlife contest. Let's have submission from now until the 18th of this month and then voting can continue until the 21st of the month. I am also limiting it to one photo per person.

Rules:
1. All photos need to be pretty much out of camera. Cropping of a photo is fine, but no other post processing will be allowed.
2. All photos must be of true wildlife taken in nature. Sorry no submissions of animals in the zoo.
3. All photos entered must have been taken in the last year. No photos older than that please.
4. Have fun with this and show us all what you've got. Looking forward to seeing all submissions.

This is nothing, when I started the first contest here, you would have thought it was a cash prize involved by the emails I recieved from members trying to get other members photos removed from the contest. Then when the judging was over (we didn't have the contest forum or voting up yet) some complained that I must have counted it wrong, yet I asked every member to recount and confirm my numbers (nothing was hidden, all upfront). It was crazy, childish and I swore I would never host another one again.
