Why would anyone need ISO One Million?
Right...or a bridge camera that has a 24-2000 equivalent lens.

there is a site dedicated to Nikon rumors. I think it is nikonrumors.com. also nikonians.com is the largest Nikon shooters web site. I heard a rumor that Nikon is about to introduce the D-TCB where every photo you take an image of elvis gets superimposed over your shot!!!

no it wont stop. The MP wars started up again with those 2 new canons and I believe sony has a very high mp coming out. sort of like horsepower in muscle cars. Dodge holds the lead at 706hp for the hellcat until Ford and Shelby top it.
I wish there was a rumor that Nikon was goin to introduce the F7 but that is very unlikely. The f6 will be the last film camera Nikon will make    :XD:

Why would a professional sports photographer need more than 10 fps when shooting sports?
When shooting random action (you know it is going to happen, but not exactly when) at 10FPS, the best image usually happened BETWEENl the frames. So increasing the frame rate might catch a moment otherwise missed.

As you say, pretty much total darkness capabilities.
       Right now, I am laughing SOOO hard that.....oops, hang on guys......, I gotta go change my diaper!!!!
According to the REAL Nikon Rumors(not the Montana rumor mill), it will have the SAME, processor, so how in the world are they gonna get 50% more fps outta it with ANY more mp using the same processor??!!
You guys have been spoon fed for so long, you're looking a little plump!!!!

I understand but at 10 fps, I don't think there is much your going to miss between frames. A pro sports photographer can anticipate the action...a batter swinging at a ball, a receiver going up for the football. I maybe wrong but going over 10-12 fps is approaching overkill.

Hand held Milky Way shots, anyone?
Good luck separating the stars from the noise, though.....

Only after the tech hits its ceiling.

For one thing, that would do a pretty good job of stop action on a golf swing. Remember those Golf Digest images years ago?

Sensor resolution will be increased, at least 18 or 20MP. Frame rate will go to 15 or 16 fps for sure. I expect full 4K video with in-camera recording ability via a type of "hybrid" Expeed processor. Probably over 150 AF points with 30-50 being cross-type. Pretty much total darkness shooting ability due to extreme ISO range not yet seen in digital cameras. It may get CF Fast card capability for the 4K recording. The XQD card slot might disappear. I doubt the body will change significantly unless Nikon chooses to go with an SSD slot instead of the CF Fast technology, but it MIGHT lighten up a little by using Titamium or even some of the D750's carbon fiber components, if the new upgrades cause any significant weight gains. Lastly, I expect the body to possibly get the tilt screen of the D750 to aid in the operation of the new 4K video feature.
These are all just "guesses" on my part based on the direction that Nikon, and the DSLR industry as a whole, has gone since the D4's came out.

Hi,
Can I quote this as a rumour ?

In my youth we saw photos of Arnold Palmer in mid down swing with a bent shaft , little realising that it was the effect of the limited capabilities if the cameras . I spent years trying to bend my shafts and, 50 years on , am still recovering from the damage to ligaments and tendons.

With technology moving quickly Nikon will be out soon with a new flag ship. But Nikon will also bring out a new step down flagship model. In this case, it will be the 820, it will have similar features of the flagship but not all. It will be aimed as always at the advanced photographer. It will be priced at a point of savings over the flagship model. Nikon has done this well for over 60 years. Giving the non pro an option to feel like a pro and not break the bank. With this said my old 800 needs a face lift, can't wait.
