I agree with the previous assessments, but my first reaction? She is having fun! That is obvious and what comes across despite the recommended technical changes. What a nice job of capturing this young lady have pure old-fashioned fun.
Thank you, she was having fun.

#2 great shot,beautiful model!
nice facial features to work with. FLASH...what are you using...just your on camera or built in flash? Difficult to tell with a "no color" pictures but the picture looks like the flash was too strong or too direct. A bounced flash, soft box or a reflector may have adjusted the picture to remove some of the flat "white". Anyway you should be happy to have a "model - in the family" who looks like she enjoys helping you out with your pictures.
I would suggest you check the location of your lighting, the model has beautiful eyes but catch lights are not where they should be and makes them look slightly dead or flat. Nice smile, pose in # 1 not so great. You can adjust the contrast in PS but can't put the pop into the eyes. Look for 10 & 2 in the eyes. Stay with it....
You're shooting with camera at too high an angle, thus elongating the nose and chin. Traditionally portraits should be shot with camera at shoulder level. Also, lighting is too harsh, being "high key." Better with softer lighting where the key is to one side at a higher angle and the fill is to the other side, both with diffused lighting.

Thanks for the input, When I took pic, she was in an enclosed stairwell with not much room to move and I was trying different things but for this i knew i was to close. I was bouncing flash behind me off of a white foam board. Practice practice practice.
#2 is great, nice balance.
