Good evening all,

I have attached two different versions of the same pic. I have been working on my black and white processing techniques, and found this image to be particularly challenging due to the contrast and the dark foreground. General critiques welcome, but also interested if the color or the black and white version works best for you.

Thanks,

Trent

Normally, I'd vote for the b&w in a case like this. I like them both, but color version better defines the subjects, I believe.

#2 for me. Although there is little color, the red lights tell me cars are stopped and street light is red too. I must add I have always seen in technicolor. I have inferior appreciation for BnW photos.

I normally am biased to color BUT in this case this photo, probably due to the clouds, this photo sings out to me in B & W. Really a god BW.

Thank you all for your feedback. I really appreciate it. It seems the color version is the overwhelming favorite, and I have to admit, I tend to agree. Something is lost in the black and white version.

they are both very good. But I like the color better it really makes the buildings pop and shows the detail much better. In the BW pic I feel you take away the beauty of those buildings
