Here are a couple from my Air Force days back in the '60s. Also a DC-7 from the early 60's.

Dunellon FL, May 2004. Yankee Airforce.
Frenchcoast--I make my humble apology. I had only limited experience with the A-4 Skyhawk.
I served 3 years with one squadron only, VA-55, homebased in Lemoore NAS, Ca. Upon my arrival they were transitioning from C to E & F models. The newer planes had the ECW hump already mounted as well as the dogleg fuel probe; so,I can't speak for other squadrons or other CAG's.
In the world of the military there is always room for the and, if,but, or maybe.
I never worked on a jet, mostly under them. I primarily loaded bombs and fixed/maintained weapons systems.
I thought the A-4 was a fine bird.
I also lost crewmates to combat and mission mishaps.

If your interested there is an article about the DC-7B in the April issue of EAA Sport Aviation. It is also the cover picture.
Tico Belle, it was used in the D-Day invasion, the Berlin Airlift and was the King of Netherlands (?) official plane.

You will get no complaints from me, a great video! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting, it's a great video. No problem with posting it in my book. After all videography is nothing more than taking a whole bunch of still photos in one heck of a hurry.
Well, I started this thread & I have no problem with it.
Carry on.

No Bart, absolutely no need for apology what so ever. Guess I'm still touchy about those days and what we all had to go through. I stay in touch with a lot of the guys and we all find it difficult to handle ridicule. Don't want to get on that rant. It's like I said no apology needed. Stay the course !
