I wanted somewhat of a silhouette of this old war-bird on display, with just a hint of detail. Most of the detail was bird droppings and other dirt on the plain.

My uncle was a Mechanic on the C-47 during WWII and flew all around the Australia area.......

what is amazing about the dc-3/c-47 is that there are still over 1000 of em in the air. a local mission here has 2 the use ti send relief and missonaries to hati

Here are a few I've shot. Mostly out of Sikorsky Mem Airport in Stratford, CT Home of the Corsair. The B-17 is "909", the B-25 is "Panchito", the Corsair "SKYBOSS"was at the airport for "Wings & Wheels" 2010 and I was in a Cessna 182 flying Chase for these images.
