What a total bullshit story THIS is! It wasn't society's fault that this punk decided to become a thug and killer! It wasn't his coach's fault! It wasn't the football fan's fault! And, from all accounts, it wasn't his parent's fault either. No one forced him to pull the trigger. It was HIS decision and HIS alone! Stories like this chap my ass! These so-called reporters continue to plant the flag of guilt in our backs every time someone strays from the path of good and righteous deeds and become evil...... like it was OUR fault. As if WE didn't do enough to help the poor kid. Should we bow our head in shame! BULLSHIT! HELL NO! I didn't have a damn thing to do with this punks actions and I resent this ass-hole writer even hinting that I did!

Rant Mode off..... for now.

A lesson in self control regardless of how "valid" one might feel at the time. controlling one's emotion is an important life lesson that all of us need to take away from this very sad situation. Nobody is a winner. In the final analysis, we, as individuals, are responsible for out actions!

Idols topple from their pedestals all the time. Athletics in this country has become something akin to idol worship and often the criteria to become a star has nothing to do with the individuals base character traits.

Don't feel too bad about that. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Back in the 1980's I was living on Redondo Beach and there was an incident with a pro basketball player. I can't remember his name but he was caught with a hooker in a Trans-Am at Will Rogers Park. I don't know if it was a sports commentator or someone else who commented on the million-dollar plus paid athlete's inability to leave his past behind by stating You can take the man out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the man. I think that applies to this situation as well.

In order to move forward in one's life you have to adopt new habits and shed counterproductive ones.

Everyone should be allowed to make a few mistakes. lol I think the blame rests with his parents. It's all about genetics. He's as dumb as a friggin' rock!

The convicted killer will spend the rest of his natural life in prison as a number among the dregs of humanity. He still faces charges for two other murders. Thank goodness the authorities have captured him and removed him from normal society. His newsworthiness will fade one day, thankfully, and we will hear no more of this evildoer.
