Rac, you cannot debate with reprobates. They have no true sense of right and wrong, only what they deem right in their own eyes. The day is coming when God will deal with them, we don’t have to.

If you want to discuss the Bible , and other Christian topics, find a board where there are other Christians to do it with. Lord knows!, they are hard enough to deal with. I was once told that I was insensitive and wrong, when I asked a person making posts about his spiritual condition, which were definitely very confused and confounded. If he was sure of his Salvation.
I was told that I should encourage him, no matter how far out in left field he is. Well you would have to have read his post’s, but I can find no way to encourage a sinner to keep on sinning. And committing abominations, which some of his problems were. So be it; am I cruel for asking you, “are you sure of your salvation”?. Paul did it!.

Now if you can go on a Christian forum, and get racked out for asking such a question. That shows you can be abused elsewhere, you don’t have to seek it here. Rac is not out to defend a-God, but will use that claim to gain attention. Christian forums would bore Rac to death, as they would not provide the kind of attention he needs. He posts here only to get attention be it about a-God, Intelligent Designer, Evolution, Atheists, you name it.

Believe me it is only the attention that he gets in a response on UHH that he seeks, not defense of a-God or religion. He is a basket case that does harm to Christianity and belief.

Your problem, as I see it, is you believe in the teachings of Jesus however you don't seem to be interested in following his(His) example by living a Christ-like life. I don't think that Jesus would approach a non-Christian and call him or her a reprobate and idiot. If you have a desire to witness pagans and spread the good news you should set a better example, don't you think?

Ray, if we could live our lives Christ-like or as Jesus had lived his life - now think about it, if that were possible then we would not need Jesus and Jesus would not have had to die in our place. It is because we could not live the same life that God demanded of us is the reason Jesus took our place.

Who are you Ray to tell a Christian how he should live his life when you live your life no better? You have no idea what you are talking about. Jesus had some choice names for people like you so don't tell others what Jesus would say. You don't know.

Ray: Well to start with, I didn't call anyone an Idiot. Reprobate is not name calling, its a Spiritual condition. And as I recall Jesus called the Pharisees of his day, Son's of the Devil, Vipers, and Snakes. I think he also used the word Reprobate in a place or Two, I don't recall right at the moment. :)

But, Pepper, to come to Jesus, Jesus says you must first hate your mother and father. Thus, Jesus teaches hate:

And please no multiple interpretations to fit your way of looking at that passage.

So, Pepper and Racmanaz and others, now, and right here, you can tell us and the world how much you hate you father, mother, children, brothers and sisters. Go for it, run, run, run with joy to Jesus and tell him how much you have learned from Him to hate those who brought you into this life. Jesus will accept you for stating/confessing such hated and will love you very much for doing so.

So, Racmanaz, go ahead and defy Pepper and follow Jesus. Show Pepper how you should do your own hating of your mother father and other relations.

No! its not a contradiction. You also do not under the context, of the use of the word hate.
Our love must be greater for Jesus than any other. So it makes our deepest love, for our loved ones appear as if it were hate. The verse in no way means to actually hate our loved ones, and no one with one ounce of understanding; would see it that way.

Interpretation is the ivory way to get around changing the Bible, so as to avoid the plagues of mankind that would be placed upon you for doing so.

No there is no contradiction. If you do a study of the original language the word hate, as used in Luke 14:26 it means to love less. You must remember times are a chaining, and so does language. :)
