I'm smiling rivernan because I always take a lot of shots then once they are downloaded I really look at each one in depth and throw out the bad ones... of course there are always those that are blurry or just not good....I think I stopped because I figured if I didn't have a good one by then I might as well hang it up... I moved the vase to different light sources, to different angles, on the floor, on a table, then when I thought I'd done enough just scanning thru what I had in the camera I quit... Out of the 25 I still have 7 in the file - I use them for background copies in my scrapbooks (I create my own background paper - don't buy any anymore....) Sometimes after looking at all the great shots people post I think I should hang up the camera and stick to scrapbooking and reading, but then I get nice comments that encourage me to go on..... Thanks for asking... This is so nice having people to chat with that have the same feeling.

An amazing point....25 shots for one you liked...Im curious to know was it the last one...did you stop at 25 because that was the best one....? I think I recently mentioned my average of about 24:1 (as in a roll of film) has significantly improved recently...I wonder if you feel yours has as well?

Thank you Althaea.... I must have taken 25 shots of that bouquet to get the three I liked the best... the roses were beautiful, could not resist photographing them.

Teri, I think you are always more critical of your own shots, always looking for the flaw while other's photos just look great! You do a wonderful job, don't hang up that camera!

Wonder if my keyboard is going bad as my posts are losing some of the letters but it is probably just user error (sigh)!

Today I just went out in the backyard at the "magic hour" and the sun was out again today so nice lighting. But I'm not quite sure of the 3 triangles yet. I thought it would be easier. Here is what i got using my 700-300mm Sigma. The more pictures I took the heavier the lens got. Should have used my tripod, I can see now.

Marj.. look again at the two cross pieces on the old gate..or shed, whatever it is.. they make a triangle and are pointing to the bottom corner of your pic.

Welcome to Day 84 :) .. It's the first saturday of spring... Hopefully the weather is great everywhere and we can all get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine.
Today we are going to take a look at another part of photographic composition .... Triangles. The technique involves composing an image in such a way that three
objects form the points of the triangle. Then invisible, diagonal lines connect the three points drawing the viewer's eyes from one to the other.
Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to see the triangles that make up your world.

As I read this challenge, I thought how in the world would I see anything that was in a triangle view? It was quite fun to simply walk out my front door and see so many things that fit this challenge. As a new person learning photography, I love this forum to kick start my creative juices and see if I can create what is asked of us each day. Thank you so much to the group for letting me experience your pictures and your wisdom each day, I truely believe it is helping me learn this awesome craft. Thank you so much photogrl57 for inspiring me with a new and exciting challenge each day. I so look forward to seeing what you have in store for us each morning. I hope I did todays challenge justice?

The bodies of these baby coons form a triangle. My beaver bog brook formed a triangle. and the head of the fox is a triangle. if I am looking at this right, I have never heard of triangle framing before thank you.
