Hi, my name is Richg55. 25 years ago I had one of the first Videography studios in New Jersey shooing strictly Video events, and became a member of the South Jersey PPA. After @ 5 years in business I burned out real fast. I had 8 shooters and I guess I grew WAY to fast. I Left the business and went into financial planning and had a wonderfully successful business for the past 18 years. Last March I was diagnosed with a rare deadly form of Leukemia. I decided to spend my days spending time with my children and 8 grandchildren. I'm having a blast learning all the NEW still and am studying constantly, especially because I'm housebound. I finally got out and started shooting the kids sports, basketball,soccer,indoor baseball. After my first outing I realize how much work I need. But I'm loving it! Looking forward to picking all your brains and hopefully also being a contributor toy the site. I absolutely love the past month getting to know the people who post regularly. No specific questions today, Just wanted to say HI!!

Hello Rich, and welcome. So sorry to hear about your health issues. You seem to be focusing on the positives though and making the most of your time and to do it through kids, grandkids, sport etc sounds pretty damned good to me. Are you going to stick a picture on for us to have a look at?

Thanks PaulG, I only did one basketball game and and now learning Lightroom. So as soon as figure it out I will post and ask for help!

Thanks soon much for all your kind words and support. The one thing I've learned from this experience is that there are many wonderful people in the world! I am a very very blessed man to be so touched by so many.
God bless you all, and I plan to be a UHH a very long tome. Just the fact that I found this site is a blessing.....the nights I can't sleep I look forward to the 5:00AM posting of UHH, read all the postings and examine the pictures, and yes even read the chit chat and jukes!!!!

welcome to the family. we all wish you luck with your health issues. one day at a time, enjoy every minute. you have been given a gift. use it. we lost my mom last july. she was given 3-10 days, she got 11, but all her kids got to see her and say their goodby's. post some of your pictures. we would love to know more about what you are shooting. god bless. deb
