Thank you Astroturf. Tonight I will be even more patient with my Alignments to get better Tracking.

Cotondog, thank you very much. Yes a lot of shoot and search, shoot and search. When I finally got it in a frame I was pretty excited, my first Comet photo.

That's a shot to be proud of for sure. So, your camera, do you mount that onto the telescope? And does your telescope follow the stars?

No it's not piggybacked onto the Scope. I removed the scope and made a bracket that fits onto the Drive Unit which tracks nicely.
So the Camera becomes the scope.

Very nice Craig!!! It is going to be clear here tomorrow and a little warmer so I might go out and play a little.

Thank you Erv. Good luck in your hunt and with clear skies.
I'm going back out tonight and see if I can shoot a dozen lights and darks to do some stacking and see if I can get that tail to really standout.

I just can't get my eye on that thing tonight, might step out again in a bit.
But I'm really looking forward to your next shot! I've gotta figure out a way to get some gear for this sort of thing!

Get between Aldebaran and the Pleiades and work your way West and you will find the green snowball. It's actually pretty big just dim. I use 30 sec exposures and ISO 1600.
Good luck.

Thanks! Just went out and located it with my binoculars. Gonna be too straight up for my equipment. Looking forward to your shots!

It will move west as the evening goes along. I plan on shooting around 10 or 11. Good luck if you decide to give it a try.

Thanks Craig,
I waited, got everything setup and locked into place.
For some reason my tracking tripod is not tracking.
Could not get a long exposure so again, no tail.
I'll fiddle in the daylight but times running out.
I hope you had better luck.
