I'm at a loss for words - what would YOU call this form of photography? "Ghosted" perhaps?

It's a really neat shot, Bob, and maybe "ghosted" is a good description!

Thanks Sue. I've accepted another suggestion, "Shadow Light". I'm just about to post another in the Shadow Light Series.

It's not infrared. It started out as a color photograph of a local pond, island in the center, old farm implements being used as yard art, and some interesting reflections in the water. I converted the image to b&w using Silver Efex, then ran it through Smart Photo Editor's "Negative Photo" preset - all of which changed a rather mundane snapshot into a nifty offshoot of art. But I don't know what to call it.

No name, but really nice.

Thanks Don. Sometimes when I look at it, I get the impression of a forest fire lighting up the night.

Thank you morningglory. It is good to have you with us. I look forward to seeing what style you adopt in your selection of subjects. Of course it has a whole lot to do with location, but still, there are SO many ways you can go.

Thanks drmarty. Actually, the pond is fairly close by, but this Shadow Light method makes it seem otherwise.

Its beautiful and somewhat fairylike. Mysterious in a way like the island of Avalon that is seen only when one is allowed to because of being special.

Ooooooh that would be a good title - "Mists of Avalon". Thanks for your observations Corolyn.
